Save your hide. Slather on sunscreen.

May means long, sunny days, and more time outdoors, at the beach or on the boat. Remember to protect  your skin by applying sunscreen, SPF of 15 or higher, 30-minutes before you go outside. Reapply every two hours or more frequently if you’re in and out of the water or sweating heavily. Don’t forget to use water-resistant sunscreen on beach, pool and boating days.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Over two million people are diagnosed with skin cancer every year.

If you forget to reapply and get scorched from the sun, see HealthFirst for treatment.
